ちーっす!またこの死んだブログに帰ってきました! Alright, I'm back for good after a few days of procrastination and work loads. Firstly, I would like to say a big thank you to Jaina for awarding me with the Stylish Blogger Award ^_^ And of course, the rules and stuff that I have to follow in return for accepting this award... 1. Thank the person who awarded you. A big thank you, once again, to Jaina for awarding me :] ~ [Though I really don't think I deserve this because I'm hardly stylish.] 2. Write seven things about yourself. #1. I like everything Japanese, food, country, culture.... almost pretty much everything except yuri. #2. Latest person I've started to admire - Nishii Yukito #3. I might be psychopathic. #4. I'm not really good at socializing? #5. My awesome friends make up the most of my world. #6. I'm starting to read Japanese novels to improve my command of that language. #7. I'm in my major and last year in secondary school. 3. And I'm supposed to award this blog award to seven other bloggers... I guess I'd award Jaina back [It's okay Jaina, you don't need to do it a second round lol.], Bun, Niji-chan ^_^.. And whoever who wants to get this... [Sorry, I'm a little lazy to find people to tag....] Alright.. Moving on.. We're already entering the month of May and things are really flying by very fast. Up until now, I have never realized that time actually flies that fast [Nor have I forgotten the countless times that I have written in my blog post the words, 'time flies so fast']. In the midst of all this hustle and bustle crap that I've been dealing with a bit for awhile, I've found a really good movie, something actually really worth fanning about. The movie that I'm talking about is Confessions, otherwise known as 告白. The title might be kind of misleading. It's not about romance, but of a different kind of genre which I love a lot.. A combination between Psychology and Thriller. Although I wouldn't really classify it as thriller but more of psychological. For those of you who haven't watched this movie yet, I recommend it because it's really a refreshing change from Hollywood movies.. In my opinion, that is. It's up for you to judge ^___^. Here's the trailer: Followed by some nice music videos of the movie :3 .... I realised I haven't really been fanning over Ruki or Kai nowadays.. But Kai still stays in my head as a model of inspiration, even though I have dropped drums and along with it, my silly fantasies of marrying them, which would never come true because they are almost a decade older than me.. Though there really is no harm in fanning, then again. AND SO. I present to you guys my new target... Okay, well, new idol, Nishii Yukito ^_^. He is the boy featured in all the three videos above. He's a really talented young actor, dancer [Part of a dancing troupe called D2, a so called 'brother' troupe to D-BOYS and he has starred in the Kuroshitsuji Musical 2 as Ciel Phantomhive (I apologize to all who loved him in his role there but... they should have retained Shougo because.. Nishii just doesn't have the singing talent there.. Though he's definitely got the size and cuteness.). This little bundle of raw talent is actually the same age as me :3. Something which I find really unbelievable up until now because the boy's simply that talented. His acting of one of the main characters of the movie, Confessions, is simply superb. I never knew the talent of young actors/actresses [Okay, Kick-Ass & Home Alone had some pretty good young teen actors in there, I admit] until I watched Confessions. From the first time I've caught that guy on screen, I've always thought that he was actually older than me, that is, until I read his profile and saw the 'magical' numbers - 1995. For a 15 (going onto 16) year old boy that acted in the psychopathic role of Shuuya Watanabe, otherwise known as Shounen A [Boy A], the feat itself is simply commendable because acting requires having to understand the character that you're supposed to portray and then act out what you think best interprets the character through your body language, facial expressions.. everything. And I don't think that acting out a psychopath can actually be that easy. I feel that personally, it has to have you to integrate your mind with the character's, understand why they think like that, for certain actions, to hit the high standards of acting. [Not to mention, convincingly as well.] He's going to star with his fellow D2 members in this movie termed 'Pole-dancing Boys'. Okay, before you freak about the guys doing such a provocative sport, there's a point about pole-dancing. It's actually an exercise which shows off a person's acrobatic skills but thanks to the normal stereotype of pole dancers that exists due to the more negative portrayal of the activity, usually many would think that pole-dancing consists of scantily clad girls with hour glass body measurements swinging about the pole and trying to show off either their boobs/undergarments. In this movie, two of the D2 members are going to act as comedians who got swindled of their money and were forced into paying off their debts [Do correct me if I'm wrong with this summary of the movie as I only read the sypnosis of the movie for about 3 times.]. The boys then find others who share similar experiences like them and somehow, they end up performing pole-dancing to earn their living. Alright, I admit that the thing about the boys wearing fundoshis and pole-dancing is already pretty provocative and attractive for me but this is the first movie where all the D2 members would star in so I'm pretty much looking forward to how the story unfolds and how they act out their roles. Nishii Yukito's the one in red ^_^. [Many people say that he looks pretty much alike to Hey!Say!Jump!'s Chinen Yuri o.o] [Yukito showing the Pole-dancing Boys article] For those who are interested in D2, here's a video of them dancing. Nishii's the smaller-sized guy, it's pretty easy to tell because he's the shortest and youngest one of the group ^_^. Alright.. So that's just the fandom post part. I don't think anyone really wants to hear about my daily life. Recently it has just been tests, tests and more tests. And I've recently got some bad news.. Although it may not be bad in actual fact but still.. I guess I would classify this as 'bad' in my list. My musuko [Haruka] might be moving to US (Somewhere near New York) or London after her Os / Ns due to her mother remarrying. The first time when I met Haruka was during the end of my Secondary 2 year when I've finally decided to cosplay as Kuchiki Rukia and go to the End-of-year cosplay convention. At that point of time, Haruka was also a beginner at cosplay, but given her boyish looks, I suppose that it wasn't unnatural for people to start fanning after her. Her first character was Hibari from Katekyo Hitman Reborn and she had personally made the tonfas herself . At that point of time, I wasn't really exposed that much to the cosplay community in Singapore so being one of the green ones, I walked around like an idiot with my wig in a total devastation. Now when I look back, I guess some people might've flamed me on the net due to my cosfuck but at least I was still recognizable as Rukia.. Not denying the fact I have probably screwed Rukia's image for everyone else. Anyway, we became friends and we actually started hanging out after that event. We also formed this band called Schwarz Rosen, German for 'Black Rose' and we were planning to perform, but it never really happened due to some complications (mainly from my side) and now the group is lying dead on Facebook. The vocalist of the group, one of my juniors, have recently turned bitch against us after joining the cosplay community. That's another topic that I'll touch on after I post this one up. So anyway, Haruka became pretty popular with the cosplay community and pretty soon, she had a lot of cosplay friends, majority of them were professionals, such as Rina & Night, to name a few and other moderate/higher than average cosplayers. There was this period of time where she was boggled by certain issues and I actually talked to her about it. I found out about that cutting habit of hers, something which I would not have expected until I saw the scar on her arm. My mum had a pretty bad first impression of her when she first met musuko because that was when she was in her Dino cosplay, which required her to draw a tattoo on her arm, like what Dino has originally. Apparently, being the great artist that she was (and still is), she drew it with water colour pencils and mum actually thought that she had a real tattoo on her arm. Until she realised later. Although musuko didn't use to be that close to me as I was with Niji and the rest of my primary school friends, she still made it fun when it comes down to spending time with her on outings and such. She was also the first person to bring me to her first photoshoot which was held at East Coast Beach and introduced me to the first 2 cosplayers of the cosplay community, Feli & Namiko. I guess many of you by now would be wondering why I call her 'musuko' [Japanese for 'son']. Initially, it was just a term that we called each other for fun, like nicknames that I give to my close friends, but she treated me as someone whom she could tell her problems to and consult in, because I was more 'mature' than her. I never once thought so. If anyone had to be the childish one, it would be me because I do stupid things all the time. I don't really want to make this all centered on me so back to topic. Anyway, she got stuck with calling me 'kaa-chan' (short form for 'mother' in Japanese) so we stuck with that. Although we were in different classes and streams, we still hung out outside of school and she's probably the only person keeping me connected to the cosplay scene in Singapore. I'm grateful to her for bringing me to photoshoots and dragging me around for events. It was really an invaluable experience being able to see professional cosplayers at work and the photography skills that they use. [The Durarara! shoot w/ Rina & Shirou Yuki] Thanks to her, my Facebook friends have dramatically increased in number, something which I would never have been able to do alone because I'm just that unsociable. When she told me that she was probably going to have to move to UK or US, it felt as though part of Singapore has just shifted to somewhere far far away. I am well aware that my writing style up to this sentence itself sounds as though she's gone but no, she's not. I don't really want to make this into an emotional post and I know that if she's going to leave, there's still time before next year and I would've already graduated from Secondary School, but the feeling of her not being in Singapore just doesn't make me feel at ease. Alright, putting aside the negative points about moving to another foreign country, I know that this would probably be great for her because she gets an opportunity to get better education from the system over there than the one here but I just can't get over it. If any of you guys, Jaina, Bun, Niji and the others leave Singapore, I'd probably feel the same for you guys because you guys make up Singapore and the world to me (Besides my family). I guess I'm just too selfish, I should be really happy for her but I just can't be. And I hate myself for this. I've talked to her regarding the moving thing over skype and at that point of time, I just couldn't take it and broke down. Separation is painful. I'm really an idiot for holding this matter with such seriousness. I guess that I've sunk too much into the role given to me, but I'm proud of the fact that she's finally worked her way up the cosplay community and earned her place of respect amongst the professional cosplayers. Although I might not really be part of her top friends list or anything for that matter, I'm still glad that I had the chance to know her and to be a listening ear to her problems. ....And I shall leave the depressing talk alone now and go bawl somewhere else. ♪あの頃から - GReeeeN On 29.4.11 at Friday, April 29, 2011 どうもー。お久しぶりです(笑)。Before I begin with the main post of my blog, I'd just do the blog tag that Jaina tagged me to do in her blog.
