Well, having not updated for quite sometime, I guess it's just as fair that I give you the update on June Holidays.. Well, today, it's the last day of the holidays and.. I feel as though.. I didn't have a holiday to begin with. I spent my holidays worrying over projects, gathering for them, spending most of the time at home thinking about things.. constantly worrying about how things are going to be like.. working on my art project.. Deciding on which color code.. it's difficult.. To me, that is. So I'd start with the streetfest which was held somewhere in two weeks ago.. June 13th. I set off earlier at around 11+ because Yuki wanted me to accompany her to get color contacts for the fest.. So I went.. The day before, we had actualy gone shopping [Hard to believe it, but yes.. My wardrobe needed more monochrome coloured clothes anyway..].. Me, Yuki and Nanoha went to Cwp to get stuff.. I was kind of aiming for the more.. punkish miyavi styled look.. Though I guess I've failed.. The end result was an emo looking person with an aura of darkness >_>.. haha.. I bought 2 shirts and I got some hand warmers.. which in Yuki's opinion, made me look like those masked rider creeps.. [=_="] But then, I managed to snag a pair of arm warmers too just in time before the fest.. Then, after getting Yuki's coloured contacts, we went back to her house.. until she discovered she didn't buy a contact holder for her contacts, so we went downstairs again to woodmart to get one.. We bought bubble tea on the way back and we returned to her house. We wanted to wait a bit before going to the fest.. So we actually stood by her kitchen's window and started talking about how nice it was if it was Japan.. The scenery from her kitchen window made me feel as though I was actually in another country.. We started talking on our family promblems.. I didn't expect that her family problems were kind of..deep.. We talked for a while and then, this group of indian people passed by.. at that point of time, Yuki randomly shouted "Damn it!" or something and the indian people heard her. They turned to our direction and we quickly ducked. Though I flashed them the finger before ducking completely.. Then, Yuki stood up again and said "Hi..!" and waved to one of the people.. The person waved back and I went .."O.O..." Then, I helped Yuki do a bit of her laundry.. I found out that she does all the housework in her house.. and we kind of landed on the subject of that. She went "Next time, I can help Reita with the housework.." and I kind of agreed.. I mean, who wants a wife who doesn't cook, or do house chores? Unless that person is stinking rich >_>.. After awhile, we set off to the cosfest.. When we boarded the mrt, everyone kept looking at Yuki and me. It was like, Yuki's appearance was one of the age of 18-20.. and I was the age of 13-15 appearance.. a weird combination. Then, we got off at Somerset.. At first, we thought the skate park was the fest.. well, coincidentally, there was a skating competition on that day too, I think. And we got confused because there wrote: Scape park. And the venue for the fest was Scape Youth Park.. There were a lot of malays there.. And I was thinking at that moment where the cosplayers were.. They can't possibly be all malay?! Then, we saw this girl in lolita walking past and a *suspected Japanese* couple.. Hmm.. After awhile, we decided to follow where this suspisciously punk-dressed person was heading to with an instrument and found the fest.. There were a lot of cosplayers there but at the same time, it was like an oven there, too. There was a band performing.. It was either Electric Scarlet or Child's Play.. Because we arrived around 2pm.. Then, we kind of went off to find Yuki's god brother... or to put it in other words, scan the area for him.. But we couldn't find him.. I guess he hadn't arrived at that time yet.. We walked around awhile.. Looking at various cosplayers.. I spotted this Soul Eater cosplayer.. I thought it might be my brother's friend because my brother's friend likes to cosplay and he mentioned something about cosplaying Soul Eater for the next cosfest.. The Soul Eater cosplayer really looked like Soul.. If that was my brother's friend, I would have to applaud him, because he looks like the real deal.. There were a couple of Shugo Chara cosplayers at the side.. The Ikuto cosplayer was rather tall but at the same time, he was rather good looking. But I kind of didn't want to take pictures with him.. because I was.. feeling rather awkward.. And then, we kind of stopped over at the bus stop to rest before starting off again and then, I bumped into the Ikuto cosplayer! He wore bluish-violet contacts [That was what I thought I saw..] and he looked at me, kind of surprised. I went "Oh Kami! I'd better get away!" and scuttled like a rat off =_=" to somewhere else.. following Yuki.. I called Roxanne to ask where she was after a while, when we got tired of walking and were sitting at the stone benches.. She was just beside the fest, at the Botak Jones coffee shop.. But I was too lazy to go there at that moment, so me and Yuki went to explore a tiny maze filled with save our earth art done by youths.. And Evergreen there.. It was a bit of a shock but when we saw Mr Viknesh's name there, I guess they really did came over.. The prefect EXCO first batch, that is... We got a little tired of the maze and wanted to escape the noise so we went to the shopping centre nearby, just diagonally opposite the fest. I remembered going there before with Clarice and the rest, so I was a little familiar with the place.. We were walking pass Famous Amos when we bumped into Yuki's god brother. Well, at least this time, Yuki was brave and even exchanged a few lines with him.. After that, he returned to his group of friends whom we couldn't really see clearly in a disctance. We felt a bit hungry after that.. And there was Burger King nearby.. I was about to go into it when Yuki told me her god brother was in there.. We went in and sat down anyway.. Yuki treated me to Hershey's Sundae Pie.. And halfway when I was eating, Yuki's god brother left first.. His group of friends turned out to be girls.. marjority of them.. three of them all dressed up in lolita dresses.. But.. They were a bit... off... One was dressed in totally pink with frills, which made me a bit pukey.. I mean, I really have no idea or hold no offence against the people who like pink, but completely pink? You have to be kidding me.. It made me kind of sick.. Another one was dressed in black with mixes of red here and there for her dress.. I guess it was okay.. I forgot what the other one was wearing but they were pretty average, I suppose.. But I was looking at the person without my specs on at that time, so I couldn't see their faces properly.. Then, we finished and once again, we sort of bumped into Yuki's god brother outside the next restaurant. He was talking to Yuki for a moment and asking her about her contacts.. Then he looked at me to see if I was wearing any contacts.. But I wasn't.. Just plain blindness x_x.. After another short exchange of dialogue between the two of them, we went upstairs to have a look at the neo print shop ..It was crowded with people.. On the way there.. I bumped into a Kuroshitsuji cosplayer! It was Sebastian Michealis, butler of Ciel.. I think the person beside was cosplaying another anime character.. But that Sebastian cosplayer was around the height of that Ikuto cosplayer.. or maybe a bit taller? He wore red contacts and when he looked at me, I went "O.O... OH! SEBASTIAN! WOOTS!" mentally.. of course. If I were to say that aloud, the person might just think I'm mad or something.. Yuki went to get a pair of earrings and went to find a gift for her mother, but however, we couldn't find any suitable gift and went back to the fest.. There, I met up with Roxanne, who was sitting with two of her friends under one of the umbrella shelters.. drinking. I went up to say hello to her and her friends and they greeted me and Yuki back.. Though I think Yuki was too busy trying to spot her god brother instead.. I asked her what she was doing there and she said she and her friends were sitting there to escape the heat and just pretend to be judges for the bands performing and gave them a rating.. Though so far, she quoted that none of the bands were exceptionally good.. And if they were really judges, they would probably fail everyone of them.. I'm not really sure as to agree with her.. The first few bands performing sung what was similiar to ballads.. slow and all that.. Then we hung around the bus stop again.. Yuki saw two girs wearing something that looks like a yukata with flutes in their hands and she asked me to take a picture for her using her handphone.. She asked the girls to pose with her and whilst I took their pictures.. I was a bad photographer.. But passable job, I think.. Yuki asked them if they really played the flute after posing with them and the girls nodded, replying that they were in the school band.. Yuki also said that back to them.. We leaned against the red bus model to rest awhile.. until Yuki's god brother came to scare her. Yuki screamed. Like a teenager. Unlike her appearance.. She scolded him later.. Yuki's god brother had appeared to have left his group of friends.. and now, he was with Yuki's rival.. Crackers [Nickname that we bestowed upon her]. It seemes as though Crackers bought her sister along, which didn't seem one bit happy about it and she kept looking at her sister and Yuki's god brother.. suspisicously. Yuki didn't like Crackers because she kept clinging onto her god brother and gave off this attitude.. like a slut. Crackers appeared to be wearing shades and have painted her finger nails black [Both things similiar to Yuki] and she did eyeliner.. which in Yuki's opinion, failed. When Yuki tried to greet her, Crackers just gave this simple "Hi" and looked away.. And Yuki was rather angry, I guess. After when the three walked away, Yuki kept going on about Crackers acting as a J-Rock wannabe fan and clinging on to her god brother.. Which utterly pissed her off.. We went around awhile before I had to go to my Japanese class.. which was at 4.30p.m.. all the way in Orchard. My initial plan was to walk there with Yuki but since she didn't want to walk there and wanted to stay at the fest a little longer, I went off by train and dropped off after one stop. During the class, I just could not concentrate at all.. Guess I was thinking too much into the fest.. And then, Yuki smsed me about her seeing this Versailles Hizaki cosplayer.. which really looked like the real deal.. I told her to snap a picture and let me see it later but that cosplayer walked away before she had the chance to.. Which was rather disappointing.. Then, she smsed me again that she spotted two Antic Cafe cosplayers.. One cosplaying as Kanon and the other as Bou, if I was not wrong.. I was squealing at the other end during my lesson.. It was like I went "OMG! OMG!" after receiving her sms and Jia Hao who was sitting beside me looked at me weirdly. After class, I asked Yuki where she was.. She went to Kinokuniya to look at some books.. whilst waiting for me. After meeting up with her, we decided to go back to the fest to see if there was anything new happening and we walked from Orchard to Somerset.. When we reached there, the band Myraid was performing.. It was such a pity, because if I had arrived earlier, I might have the chance to listen to Saiko Sex perform.. well, but Myraid was awesome, pretty awesome for a local band.. They had the front row people headbanging. I knew because I could see the girl's looong hair swishing here and there.. And Yuki pointed out that the guitarists looked nice.. I have to admit, they look outstanding *_*. One of the guitarists looked a lot like Alice Nine's Hiroto.. Too bad I couldn't take out my camera and flash a good picture because of my camera having this funny, malfunction of having the memory erasing page coming out with this [xD] on the screen.. It was as if the camera was laughing at me, to make it worse -_-. I nearly smashed it into the floor... Then, they came to this point at the end where the shouted "Fuck!" to the crowd.. It was like having Detroit Metal City Jack II Dark versus-ing Krauser to a fuck off battle.. Who could keep the "Fuck" word and keep saying it without stopping.. And the guy practically shouted into the mic.. Which I think, from diagonally across the street, you could hear clearly.. Because during the time when I was walking with Yuki to Somerset, I could hear their screams from that spot clearly.. That guy had a powerful voice.. and the amps at the side of the stage were good. The band was performing.. mainly Dir En Grey songs.. I don't really know much about Dir En Grey.. Maybe the some of the member's names.. Die, Shinya, Kyo.. Okay, out of all the member's, Kyo was the one that was quite funny and impressive, but I couldn't help giggling when Die said "Taiwan... ... It's not Thailand... is it? They both have the "Tai" [Japanese pronunciation] in common.." that was funny.. Anyway, after their performance ended, everyone was clappping.. They really got the crowd high, which was good. Yuki clapped her hardest, I think.. That band was really rocking everyone.. Evidence points to the people headbanging.. Then, after Myraid got off, Slapshocked, the last band for the night got on.. The vocalist was a Malay.. and one of the guitarists were too, if I'm not wrong.. They played X Japan songs.. Speaking of X Japan, it's sad that Hideto, a former guitarist of X Japan passed away.. He had a towel around his neck which was around the doorknob.. He was strangled to death..sadly.. The cause of his death was unknown, though some people said that it was suicide, and others said he was drunk.. It was unclear.. But it had a big impact on the X Japan fans.. Here's some information regarding Hide's funeral..and death..: On the night of May 1st, 1998, hide went out drinking with his brother and when they returned home around 5 am, needless to say they were trashed. They were left by the person who'd brought them back to hide's home and no one knows exactly why, but when the woman hide was living with returned around 7 am, she found hide hung by a towel on the bathroom doorknob. She of course called the Japanese version of 911, but it was too late, hide was pronounced dead around 9am, May 2nd 1998. Needless to say the Japanese music scene was shocked by the sudden death of the best rock guitarist ever in Japan. Much speculation surrounds the events that lead to the death of hide. Most agree that it was an accident, helped by the alcohol, but what hide was doing that required a towel around his neck attached to a doorknob...we may never know. Since there was no motive or suicide note, there isn't much ground to believe that it was a intentional suicide. hide was 33 years old.On May 7th, hide's funeral was held in the Hongan temple in Central Chichuji, Tokyo. It was a scorching 100 degree day and along with those involved in the funeral, approximately 50,000 fans gathered around the temple to pay their respects to hide. Several actually attempted suicide themselves, not being able to live without hide. X Japan performed "Scars" (which hide wrote) and "Forever Love" for the people in attendance at the funeral.. That was the information. Though Hide's death has been quite a long time ago, it was really a big impact.. This was the first time I heard a J-Rocker that has passed away and created quite a big impact.. After watching the video when Yoshiki, the vocalist of X Japan talked about hide's death and pausing in between because he himself was really sad, was really touching.. Three of the fans committed suicide the way Hide died, by strangling themselves with a towel around their necks.. with a doorknob as a helping stand... I was shocked when I heard this news from Yuki.. A death of one J-Rocker could make all these happen.. I wouldn't want to think about what happens if any other bands have any mishap.. Alright, so back onto the post.. Oh yeah, the Myraid band members were standing quite close, watching Slapshocked perform.. And then, I saw that Hiroto lookalike pass by me and I went nudging Yuki and I was practically going "OH KAMI! HIROTO LOOKALIKE!".. I'm crazy, I know.. This girl in the front was holding up X Japan's Tokyo Dome concert towel which was black and red.. Yuki looked at it and told me that it was the actual towel from Tokyo Dome.. means that the girl had actually went to X Japan's concert at Tokyo Dome and got the towel.. SuGoi *O.O*.. that girl is really lucky.. to be able to go to Japan.. Somehow, typing this makes me think of that LJ author who's now living in Japan that went to the GazettE's concert and SuG's concert..thinking about it just makes me depressed =_="... She saw heidi performing..and the bassist, Kousuke, threw the pick at her and she caught it.. Heeey.. Why doesn't that ever happen to me?! T_T.. I hope to get the GazettE's towels or at least Ruki's water bottle if I ever get to the GazettE's concert.. anything they throw off the stage... I would worship it if I laid my hands on it >_>.. Right, back on. The vocalist took the towel from the girl's hands and waved it around.. It was quite interesting.. But we had to leave a little early because of my curfew.. But when we went back on the MRT, we were talking about the concert.. And after awhile, we switched topics to Japanese particles.. like ni, wa, wo.. all the types of particles.. I didn't know how to explain it to Yuki, because it all just comes naturally to me.. I think whatever sounds right and I'd just say it out.. Although maybe sometimes, I get it wrong.. I think it's alright.. I had a hard time telling her examples.. After dropping off at Admiralty, we went off and I returned home.. and ate the dinner that was left for me.. The J-Rock fest was ultimately fun.. Then, the past two weeks were doing projects, gathering for them.. The final gathering before school reopened was with Nanoha, Fate, Caro..at my house. We gathered for the last compilations of our History project and Chinese project.. It was hard, because we were supposed to invent some sort of souvenir for the olympics. I suggested figurines of athletes.. And we ended up trying to draw Maria Sharapova.. Which failed terribly.. We asked Nanoha to draw. Maria Sharapova's back ended up having no backbone at all. And no butt either.. No offence, to all of Maria's fans.. We didn't do that intentionally T_T..! We compiled the history project and managed to get it done.. After that, we sort of went outside to play badminton but way before that, I was playing Tekken 5 on PS2.. Then, we played for a little while.. some of my hits went into the bushes.. and Fate ended up trying to retrieve it.. フェイトさん、本当にごめなさいでした。After getting a little tired of playing badminton, we tried our CD drama recording again.. But Fate was all out of energy.. so were we.. after trying about four times, we decided that the monotone in our voice was enough to make people sleep and with Caro around, it might feel weird doing the recording... It was around 5-6+ when we ended all our activties.. The rest went back and I went back to playing the computer... Recently, I have gotten really crazy into wagashi making [Japanese sweet] and I asked my cousin to help me translate a recipe from a website.. It was the cha dango recipe [Green Tea].. I couldn't translate that recipe was because I was only E2 and my cousin was going to Advanced soon.. Although I still can't get over the fact she used Babel Fish from Yahoo to translate the ingredients.. I went to romaji org to hiragana-ise the kanji words.. And I remembered the hiragana version.. and went to look the ingredient up in Isetan.. I hope that this time, the dango recipe would be correct because I referred to another website before and the dango became a miniature geographical model of the Earth, with the crust, mantle and core. If you broke the thing, the flour would pour out. Which me and Fate, at that time, labelled as the 'core'.. The mantle was the sweet sugar slime coating the hard piece. And the crust? Floury bits that flaked off the solid pieces. It was disgusting.. anyway, my cousin managed to translate the whole recipe and I went to Isetan in the morning to get the ingredients. There was a Hokkaido fair going on and I remembered that a few days ago, my mother had told me that my aunt was taking up a job and working under Isetan as a promoter.. She promotes fish roe [ fish eggs ] at the Hokkaido fair.. I thought I'd visit her for a moment.. After buying the ingredients, I went to find my aunt.. And I found her and her boss, promoting the fish roe to some customers.. I went over to say hi.. and then, I noticed, her boss... LOOKS JUST LIKE MY CHINESE TEACHER!! *SPURTS BLOOD* But he was Japanese. He went "O.O..." at me when I said hi to my aunt. I quickly greeted him with a "こんにちは"[Hello] and bowed.. Okay, seriously, for the bowing thing.. I just have this tendency to after watching animes and all that Japanesey influence, I'm starting to bow when I saw hello to people or when I'm saying sorry.. or thank you.... Because I think it's polite? It just became a habit for me, I guess.. Bowing to people.. My aunt's boss was so surprised that I bowed to him and greeted him that he was stunned for a minute or so, before he quickly bowed and greeted me back. He went to my aunt and asked about who I was.. My aunt went "私の妹…の..の…”[My little sister.........] She actually meant to say, my little sister's daughter, and she picked up her dictionary and was flipping it whilst dragging it. Her boss looked at me surprised and went "Little sister..?" in Japanese and I went "いーいえ、ちー違うです!私は妹じゃない!”[N-No, that's wrong! I'm not the little sister!"] to him.. and my aunt managed to find the word and completed the sentence.. It was kind of funny, really.. Although my aunt was studying a higher grade than me in Japanese, she stutters whilst trying to speak the Japanese words out wherelse I speak calmly and trying my best to make it smooth.. And he asked me how old I was.. I replied that I was fourteen and he said "中学?" [Middle School?] in Japanese and I just said "Middle school.." back to him. I forgot to add the -student behind.. I'm such an idiot =_=.. And he was "Oh, Middle Schooler!" and I just nodded.. It was freaky. Talking to a real Japanese made me feel like an idiot, somehow.. Anyway, he went back to mending the stall.. There was quite alot of people, surprisingly. I thought fish roe wasn't that popular in Singapore.. I thought it was jelly when I first saw it.. I waited for my aunt to finish her work and killed time walking around Isetan.. And I thought I saw this primary school mate Rebecca.. I think it was her.. And her little sister. And if I wasn't wrong, she was shorter than me. Waaaay shorter than me. I think that was her sister.. But that looked like her?! I only recall that she didn't have any twins.. She looked at me for awhile.. But I guess I was already making my way through the dango shop, so she couldn't see my face. But I just knew it was her. Haha. Fancy seeing someone who once used to be part of the torture trio of my primary school life and now just a friend there. After my aunt finished work, we met up with my cousin and the rest for dinner. Wew ent to this Japanese restaurant and I ordered cha soba.. And my aunt offered me her chawanmushi.. My cousin and I started talking about school and she asked me what subject combination I wanted to take.. I guess, in her school, chemistry was compulsory because all the combinations she told me went chemistry, physics. etc. We started talking about the travel trip to Japan.. And she said that if my family goes first, she would follow but if ehr family goes first.. Well, no way in hell would I give up the chance to be in Shibuya or Harajuku. Of course. Japan. Hell yes I'd go. Fuck the homesickness. That's going to be my new home in the future anyway.. Ehem. So yeah. My aunt mentioned about going next year because this year, my cousin has to go to Shandong for her school immersion trip, which is compulsory every year. That's one point about being in elite schools. You can have the chance to go for a trip every year, and not wait for the principal to announce and on top of that, you need a contribution to the school and let the teachers access you. My cousin's school gives you several choices of the places you want to go to : China, Japan, India, Venice, New Zealand, France.. and the United Kingdom, if I'm not wrong.. But they slug pretty hard during normal times too, that makes up for it. And they do pretty dangerous experiments in the lab. With acids. I mean real ones. Just abit too alkalised at this point of stage. But when they advance next year, they use real acidic liquids. And my school? Ammonia. It's not much of a threat.. And my cousin gets to analyze DNA way before our school actually made a special trip to science centre just for some DNA course. Back to subject, my cousin said we might be going Tokyo and Osaka next year if we were to go to Japan.. Of course, the chances of her following my family is zilch, because we two are the only ones that can speak Japanese. My parents doesn't know how to, wherelse her family knows how to speaks Japanese.. Well, marjority. except her little sister. which gave up after elementary one. Maybe I would snag a ticket to the GazettE's concert on my trip over there.. But I have to ask my mum first, and it would depend on the location we're visiting.. God, I can't wait. She started off about Japanese desserts.. And she mentioned that there's this place: The Ministry Of Food that specialises in Japanese desserts.. there are all sorts of dangos and all there. I'm going there next week, or maybe two weeks after.. After eating, my aunt offered to give me a lift home and when we all got into her car, I saw her GPS system. It was a mini sort of map of the whole Singapore. Just type in the address or postal code of the place and voila, the GPS would give you directions. They typed in my postal code address and there was arrows and a little car signifying my uncle's appeared on the screen.. It was like a video game, except this was real.. and fun. My aunt and uncle brought me back home after following the directions.. It was fun. They had also told me that they downloaded the maps of Malaysia and Japan into the GPS so if we ever go to Japan, we could rent a car and stick the GPS on.. And they'd give us the place where we want to go to.. That's reeeally convenient.. The next day, I made dango.. My mum came back and she actually thought I went to buy it from a store.. I put it in the fridge and the net day, I let Nanoha and the rest try it.. But was hard to eat.. Probably because of the fridge.. But it was a success.. I'm aiming for mochi next time.. I'd post again after my Japanese test results come out.. that's all for the June Holiday post now, so.. You guys'd probably take one hour reading this though... Haha^^;.. On 28.6.09 at Sunday, June 28, 2009 Nothing much really happened yesterday.. Except for Japanese class.. On Thursday..Well.. Anyway, as a first note on my blog.. Nanoha, I offer my condolences on behalf of the passing of your aunt. I hope that she would now be in heaven, being at peace. I know it's awkward for me to say this but-.. ^^;.. When people pass away, it's just kind of saddening. Just like that time recently where my grandmother passed away. That grandmother of mine was from my father's side. Though I wasn't really close to her, however, every time I go over to her place before she suffered from stroke, I would always eat her cooking. And she always liked seeing me eat the soup she brews all the time. It really is a shock, Nanoha.. That your aunt just suddenly.. But I think that it was God's choice to let her return back to Him again.. May your aunt rest in peace. On Thursday, I went to Ikea at tampines.. My dad and mum brought me there. Well, and we bumped into my dad's old friend, Uncle William and his family. Uncle William was a childhood friend of my dad's.. He and another Uncle, Uncle Joseph. Somehow, I don't really like Uncle William's wife.. because she was really.. how do you put it. The typical normal Singaporean. For every meeting she had with my mum, she would ask for my academic results.. Despite her son being one year older than me and her daughter being way older than me, so there's really nothing to compare. I find it retarded, sometimes, when adults keep comparing marks and see if their kid did better than the other. It's meaningless. 'Each to their own adversaries' if they haven't heard that, they must be from outer space. I don't get it, really. The stupidness adults conjure sometimes.. =_=. Anyway, they invited us to sit at their table, and I had this feeling as though I was unwelcome, by the look of Aunt Serene's face. I put down my spaghetti and all and just ate.. Then my dad and mum came later. After eating, my mum looked at me for a moment and asked me to help put Uncle William and his family's finished plates on the tray so that it was easier to clear up later. By the way she was asking it. It was so obvious because she asked in a loud voice and even Ronald, who was sitting 3m away from me could hear it. Then, Ronald took the finished plates and kind of handed it to me. I put it on the last tray and somehow, due to my as usual clumsiness, a fork slipped out from the plates and it fell on my shirt, staining it with tomato sauce. Making it look like blood -_-. Then, my mum glared at me and I went "Oh shit..".. And the whole time, I had this feeling Aunt Serene was smiling. Urgh. That was crappy. Thank goodness there was chocolate mousse to distract me.. Then, I went with my mum and dad to source for the photo frame.. We found it in the end. It costs a bomb =_=. Then, we went to Giant to get some groceries.. Then we came back home.. For Friday, I didn't do much.. I went over to my Chinese teacher's place for tuition.. And it turned out that she smsed me 2.40.. And she ended up arriving late.. Around 2.50. We were discussing about how people didn't give way to older people in MRTs.. in relation to one of the chinese articles she picked from a book.. And from there on, it somehow switched to how perverted the world was. She mentioned about lesbians and gays as an example. I can't deny that I didn't try to stifle a chuckle when she said 'gays'.. Okay, I'm a real freak. After reading tons of.... stuff, it just doesn't seem that way to me anymore. But I remembered reading one of the books in the National Library I picked out out of boredom.. It was about gay marriages and such in USA.. There was even lesbian marriages. =_=. I told her what I knew from there.. And sometimes, it just doesn't fail to amuse me the way people's reactions are to such types of things. Especially when you aren't really exposed to it. But rest assured. I am straight. Just for confirmation for anyone who thinks I might have become crooked after reading that book. I really had no idea real gay marriages existed anyway o_o.. I thought it was something you could only find in fanfictions.. Guess I was wrong. Before this post becomes full of gay marriages and things in particular, I shall continue on. I rushed home after tuition and took a quick shower before heading off to drum class.. My drum teacher went through the few couple of songs again.. And I tried 'Spy Rock' again.. To be frank, I didn't practice at all.. So I was in some sort of trouble.. Thank god I've been doing the songs quite a few times and my feet can just randomly move by itself. If not, I would be a goner -_-. I think that I was hitting the hi-hat cymbal abit too hard.. Because whilst playing, I noticed some wood broke off from my drumstick that I was using as I was hitting.. Maybe I'd switch the drumsticks from time to time for the next lessons and so on, if not I would have one wrecked drumstick.. In the end, I just couldn't get 'Spy Rock' at all, because although the beats for the snare drum and bass drum were the same for every line, the hi-hat cymbal's beats increase faster and it just feels weird.. I'm just not used to it yet.. I guess I'd have to keep on practicing.. Throughout the whole time when I was trying, I was thinking about Kai, Nao, Tero and Mitsuru having to do such practices like this in the beginning but they didn't give up at all.. If not, they wouldn't come to this stage where they were actually in bands.. Though Mitsuru left SuG T_T.. But Kai had actually quit on his second year of high school just to concentrate solely on drums.. That's amazing, to me. He actually took the risk of giving up his studies and to work on music to pave a career for him and there, he has it now. So did Aoi. But Kai's mainly my inspiration that got me learning drums because he's the leader of the group and always tries his best.. Even though he does quite some stage work too besides practicing and he's pretty good at drums. He might always be 'scowling' backstage but his cheerful demeanour really motivates me though. The way he handles things with capability.. If one day I could become somewhat any way like him, I would be happy. If I could even stand on the same stage with him, which is eons of centuries away, of course. Unless I'm some super drum genius and my parents are willing to sponsor money to let me go to Japan.. Maybe I might still stand a chance. That, needless to say, is impossible. Continuing on, I tried 'Spy Rock' for a few times.. Teacher says I've got it there.. quite? More practice for me.. Then, drum lesson ended.. I managed to persuade my dad on Thursday to pardon me a day off Science tuition.. And it was successful. My dad was at a wedding dinner on that night anyway.. So I could keep my mum company for dinner >D! My mum and I went to Jurong Point for dinner.. When we were boarding the train to Jurong East to change to Joo Kiat line, it was crowded.. But it wasn't as bad as the train to Joo Kiat. I was being squashed by a lot of people. And I was standing near this man that was holding the pole nearby and I could nearly smell.. his armpit. The train was so crowded I was squashed between my mum, a lady and two other men.. When it came to our stop.. Loads of people all alighted.. And the train wasn't as crowded as when it first started.. I wonder.. If Jurong Point had quite a number of people during June Holidays.. What would it be for Vivo city? I can't really imagine. We ate at the Kopitiam above.. I bought soba noodles.. But eating those really made me miss the shop at Changi Airport.. The new terminal had this lovely Japanese food stall that gave me good soba whenever I went there. There was ice under the soba too to keep it cold.. I really miss that stall and sadly, it closed down T_T.. Mum bought claypot chicken rice again.. But I took her mushroom and a few pieces of chicken from her. After eating, we went to this wonderful delicious chinese dessert shop.. The desserts there are good. Quite a wide selection of Chinese desserts.. Okay, I might not like the chinese language, but food is another thing for me.. especially desserts.. I ordered the Sweet In Heart.. Which was a bowl of cold mango puree with a few big chunks of mango and mango ice.. and Mixed rice balls in ginger soup. It was Tangyuan in pink and white colours.. The pink one contained peanut paste and the white one contained sesame.. I didn't try those flavours of Tangyuan before.. But it was good.. I rather the sesame to the peanuts, because the tiny pieces of ground peanuts came cracking between some particular place in my mouth which went against my gum.. My mum ordered almond paste.. We ate until we were quite full.. But I ordered two pieces of water chestnut cake for takeaway.. The chestnut cakes were the best. The cakes were actually transparent cool jelly with chestnuts in them.. And when you bite it, it's crunchy.. Delicious ;D. After all that food, we were becoming quite blur and we actually went to level one, thinking the exit to the mrt was on that level when it turned out it was on level two. But when we were at level one, we went to the icing shop.. and watched people do their icing for their cakes.. We wanted to buy a cake to ice too, but mum decided that when it was someone's birthday, we would do that. I was thinking if it was my birthday.. I'd definitely ice there a 'and Kai' on the cake.. Since Kai's birthday's the same date as mine.. Then, we went back to level two and went back home.. My mum bunked in my room afterwards whilst waiting for my dad to come back from his wedding dinner.. He came back around 2 a.m... because after the dinner, he went to have some drinks with his friends.. Then.. here's Saturday's post.. Yesterday, I went off to Japanese class.. I set off at 3 p.m. because I had to top up my card but when I reached Orchard, it was only 3.40.. and my class started at 4.30.. I went to Kinokuniya for a moment.. but no new GazettE magazines.. And no new Kuroshitsuji books either.. Bleach only came out a new book.. Which I had seen a long time ago on OneManga.. I took my slow sweet time to walk to the center.. But before that, I stopped by 7-11 to get a bottle of milk tea and sweets before going there. When I arrived, three of the ladies were already there doing their homework.. Jia Hao came in a few minutes later.. and then everyone arrived.. And Shida-sensei started the class. We did verbs and all the sorts again.. Then Shida-sensei asked us questions individually. She asked quite a few people "What did you do yesterday?" or "What did you eat this morning?".. But when it came to my turn, she asked "What did you eat yesterday?" and I gave a stupid answer of "I didn't eat anything yesterday.." and she went "24 Hours?" and I went "No.. No.. No.. I ate er.. ... Yeah, that's it. Rice. I ate rice yesterday." and she asked if it was delicious and I went "Yes..".. The rice thing was a thing I made up on the spot though.. When I was panicking like an idiot.. Then, we did moee stuff and it was break time.. I got the key for Jia Hao this time. Then.. when I went back, Jia Hao was offering sweets again and I took one.. It was that same sweet again. Shida-sensei held a writing test.. I hope I got everything correct this time.. And Shida-sensei asked us to do some questions in the text book.. She asked us the questions individually later.. The first question was 'What movie do you want to watch?' Jia Hao answered Bat Man.. It was surprising.. that the guy actually like Bat Man.. I answered 'BeatRock Love'.. Takeru T_T... Then the next one was 'What kind of car do you want to buy?' and Jia Hao answered 'The Bat Mobile'.. And we laughed. Shida-sensei was wondering what that was and we said 'Bat Man' to her.. The last question was 'Who do you want to meet?'.. I looked at Jia Hao when he was filling in his answer and I asked him if it was Bat Man.. He was laughing and nodding his head.. But he put down 'Joker', which was one of Bat Man's enemies.. and then Shida-sensei was asking what that was.. I told her Bat Man and the whole class chuckled.. I answered GazettE's Ruki for her question.. Then.. the lesson carried on.. And then, it finished.. That was about all. Today, I slept all the way till 1p.m... and changed my hamster's cage.. I got a wood splinter in my finger, but my dad took the pincer and pulled it out. It felt pain for a moment.. and here I am now, typing. I'm going to go work on my new blogskin.. I might be able to have it up by tomorrow.. If I stop getting so distracted.. On 5.6.09 at Friday, June 05, 2009 |
